PARTICIPANT INFORMATION 
  •  A Pickleball Social Round Robin tournament format with round robin draws.   
  • Draws will be coed; play will not be divided by gender, but will be divided into levels, and play will be a round-robin tournament format. 
  • Teams will be divided by level and age where possible.  Players will play with their partner the entire event.
  • Player check-in is 10:00 a.m. with play beginning around 10:15 a.m.  Organized rounds should conclude around 1:30 p.m.
  • If you do not have a partner, you can register for a partner drawing and we will do our best to match you up.
  • Please register as: Elite (4.5+), Advanced (4.0+),Advanced Intermediate(3.5), Intermediate(3.0), Social (2,5), Starter (2.0). Some levels may be combined as needed.

Join members of our POP delegation as they share meaningful takeaways, exciting developments and personal experiences from the recent World Parkinson Congress held in Phoenix.  From new research and therapies to wellness strategies and powerful stories of resilience, this workshop will connect the POP community to the latest conversations shaping the future of Parkinson’s care and support.

Join us for practical guidance, helpful insights and an opportunity to ask questions in a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you are just beginning the process or looking to update existing plans, this workshop will help you plan ahead with greater confidence and peace of mind.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW* 
  • ​​Physical Movement & Voice Strength:  Strength interval training incorporating Rock Steady Boxing, SPEAK OUT! speech therapy,  balance & stretch yoga, Tai Chi, Dance for Parkinson's and more
  • Emotional & Social Connection:  Care partner support, community events focused on support and camaraderie 
  • Educational Empowerment:  Workshops, presentations and activities just for you 
  • Young Onset:  Power Over Parkinson’s is making a concerted effort to provide services to people in Monterey County newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease who are under the age of 50.  Young Onset patients face unique challenges that might include work and career disruption, family and parenting responsibilities, and complex treatment decisions. We offer classes later in the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a once-a-month rock-climbing class, as well as Care Partner Support Groups twice a month.
​The POP community is a welcoming place where personal experiences are shared with compassion and empathy. We understand the highs and lows of living with PD, exchange knowledge and support one another every step of the way.

*We proudly serve as the local affiliate of the nationally recognized Rock Steady Boxing program.
  Speech follows the SPEAK OUT® modality, a program developed by the Parkinson’s Voice Project.
  Dance for Parkinson's is part of the globally acclaimed initiative.
