DON McDOUGALL
Board President Don has volunteered for several non-profit organizations and boards, especially believing in the positive effect of outdoor participation, protection, and education for physical and mental wellbeing. His wife’s passion for the value of physical and balance exercise for her Parkinsonian disease fueled his passion and support for the importance and value of Monterey Power Over Parkinson’s. He is now retired in Carmel after a career in software and high-tech leadership around the United States and internationally and is an active docent and leader at Point Lobos State Reserve. |
NETTIE PORTER
Board Vice President Nettie has spent many years working with nonprofits. She is currently the Executive Director of Pebble Beach Junior Golf Association. Prior to her current position, she was the Director of Monterey Bay Village, a program through The Carmel Foundation where she worked closely with the elderly, many with a Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis. She worked as a Marketing Associate for Monterey Peninsula Foundation before being hired to launch Monterey Bay Village. Nettie serves on the board of the Upjohn Foundation Fund and resides in Carmel Valley. |
RAMIE ALLARD
Past Board President, Chair, & Internal Affairs Ramie retired from being a Cardiovascular Perfusionist in 2005 and started a new career as a Landscape Designer and Contractor for Blue Door Garden Design, Inc and works primarily in the Monterey Bay area. Ramie is currently the President of Friends of Carmel Forest. She is also an active Master Gardener and is the Continuing Education Chair for Master Gardeners of Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz. She resides in Carmel Valley with her husband Martin, who rises to the challenges of Parkinson's every day, but is encouraged by the support and fellowship of Power Over Parkinson's Monterey Bay. Ramie and Martin both continue to enjoy golf. |
CINDY ZOLLER SILVER
Secretary, Past Board President, and Chair, External Affairs Committee Cindy retired from her position in 2019 as Executive Director of Monterey Peninsula Foundation where, for over 36 years, she held an executive level position for a majority of the Foundation’s non-profit and tournament operations. A 44-year resident of the Monterey Peninsula, she is married to Ret. Judge Richard Silver and currently serves on the boards of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Monterey and the Bishop Clinch Endowment Fund. She has volunteered for numerous non-profit organizations and has served on several non-profit boards in the local community. |
CHUCK DUNBAR
Chuck Dunbar is a 25-year PGA Golf Professional who served as the Head Golf Pro at the famed Pebble Beach Golf Links from 1999 to 2015. He also has served as the General Manager at Nicklaus Club - Monterey and most recently was the Senior Vice President of Operations for GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness in Kansas City, Missouri. Chuck has recently moved back to the Monterey Peninsula from Kansas City and is excited to assist in our cause. Chuck was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson's in 2009. |
TIM MINOR
Chair, Governance Committee Tim Minor served as an administrative law judge for the State of California for 8 1/2 years before retiring in 2018. Prior to his work for the State, he was in private law practice in the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas for 28 years. He has been a volunteer for many public benefit causes and has served on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations. |
JASON TRACY
Jason retired from his position in 2022 as General Manager of The Beach & Tennis Club for the Pebble Beach Company which he held for 10 years. He was with the Pebble Beach company for 28 years and was Director of Rooms at the Lodge at Pebble Beach for 12 years. A 34-year resident of the Monterey Peninsula, he is married to local Tennis Professional Leslie Tracy. He has volunteered on the leadership team at Shoreline Church in Monterey |
KEN KONDO
Board Treasurer Ken Kondo worked for 35 years in executive finance positions for Fortune 500 and Start-up corporations prior to his retirement. He’s been married for 32 years and has two grown sons. In addition to POP, he serves on the Board for the non-profit, One Step Beyond, that provides programs and services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Ken’s leisure activities include playing golf as much as possible, traveling and daily exercising. |
TERRILL DAHL
Terrill is a retired teacher, working in the early grades for almost 30 years. She and her late husband Roger celebrated their 50th anniversary in July, 2022. They raised two children, Andrew and Carly, in their home in Carmel. Roger, a beloved teacher, principal and educational mentor, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2000, and he and Terry lived every day with determination and optimism until Roger’s death in August, 2022. |
