Staying Active During The COVID 19 Pandemic

Power Over Parkinson’s is closely monitoring the evolving situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19).  We know how important fitness and social interaction are to people living with Parkinson’s disease (PD).  That being said, we also believe that the health and safety of our local Parkinson’s community is of the utmost importance during this uncertain time. The Parkinson’s Foundation blog provides valuable information and resources about COVID-19 and PD:  https://www.parkinson.org/blog/tips/Coronavirus

In times of uncertainty, we reflect on the strength of our Parkinson’s community.  We could have never imagined such unprecedented events and the profound impact on all of our daily lives.  To those of you who are currently attending our classes, we will look forward to welcoming you back to our new facility on Garden Road in the months ahead.  To those who are interested in attending our classes, we are planning an expansion of the current HIIT/Rock Steady Boxing class and the introduction of a Mindful Yoga class in July.  We are currently sending out weekly emails with exercises to keep you moving during the ‘Shelter in Place’ order.   In the meantime, best wishes of health and safety to you and yours.

Should you have questions about classes, please email us at:  poweroverparkinsonsmonterey@gmail.com
